The sci\u00aden\u00adtif\u00adic evi\u00addence varies depend\u00ading on the area of appli\u00adca\u00adtion and is not yet suf\u00adfi\u00adcient to rec\u00adom\u00admend PRP as an estab\u00adlished stan\u00addard treat\u00adment. There\u00adfore, we use PRP exclu\u00adsive\u00adly after indi\u00advid\u00adual med\u00adical con\u00adsul\u00adta\u00adtion and care\u00adful con\u00adsid\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtion.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">PRP is obtained from the patien\u00adt\u2019s own blood and is rich in platelets and endoge\u00adnous growth fac\u00adtors. For treat\u00adment, a small amount of blood is drawn and processed using a spe\u00adcial\u00adized pro\u00adce\u00addure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In <a href=\"https:\/\/kinderwunschaerztin.de\/en\/reproductive-medicine-explained-simply-methods-chances-and-help-for-fertility\/\">repro\u00adduc\u00adtive med\u00adi\u00adcine<\/a>, PRP is being inves\u00adti\u00adgat\u00aded pri\u00admar\u00adi\u00adly for two dif\u00adfer\u00adent appli\u00adca\u00adtions: intrauter\u00adine infu\u00adsion to sup\u00adport the endometri\u00adum and injec\u00adtion into the ovaries in cas\u00ades of reduced ovar\u00adi\u00adan func\u00adtion. For both pro\u00adce\u00addures, a poten\u00adtial ther\u00ada\u00adpeu\u00adtic ben\u00ade\u00adfit is being inves\u00adti\u00adgat\u00aded; how\u00adev\u00ader, they are not cur\u00adrent\u00adly among the estab\u00adlished stan\u00addard treat\u00adments in repro\u00adduc\u00adtive med\u00adi\u00adcine.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"dl-list-check\">\n<li>\n<h4 class=\"gb-text\">PRP to Sup\u00adport the Uterus (Endometri\u00adum)<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In intrauter\u00adine PRP treat\u00adment, the processed platelet-rich plas\u00adma is intro\u00adduced into the uter\u00adine cav\u00adi\u00adty via a thin catheter. This pro\u00adce\u00addure is being inves\u00adti\u00adgat\u00aded par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlar\u00adly in cas\u00ades of repeat\u00aded\u00adly thin or inad\u00ade\u00adquate\u00adly devel\u00adoped endometri\u00adum and <a href=\"https:\/\/kinderwunschaerztin.de\/en\/services\/diagnostics\/miscarriage-diagnostics\/\">recur\u00adrent implan\u00adta\u00adtion fail\u00adure<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Sev\u00ader\u00adal ran\u00addom\u00adized stud\u00adies and meta-analy\u00adses are now avail\u00adable show\u00ading promis\u00ading results. Par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlar\u00adly in patients with thin endometri\u00adum, improved endome\u00adtri\u00adal devel\u00adop\u00adment has been observed with PRP. Some stud\u00adies also show high\u00ader implan\u00adta\u00adtion, clin\u00adi\u00adcal preg\u00adnan\u00adcy, and in some cas\u00ades live birth rates.   <br> <br>How\u00adev\u00ader, exist\u00ading stud\u00adies dif\u00adfer in terms of patient selec\u00adtion, PRP prepa\u00adra\u00adtion, dosage, and appli\u00adca\u00adtion. PRP there\u00adfore remains an unestab\u00adlished stan\u00addard ther\u00ada\u00adpy but can be con\u00adsid\u00adered as a com\u00adple\u00admen\u00adtary treat\u00adment option in select\u00aded patients after indi\u00advid\u00adual med\u00adical con\u00adsul\u00adta\u00adtion. <\/p>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\n<h4 class=\"gb-text\">PRP to Sup\u00adport the Ovaries<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In intrao\u00advar\u00adi\u00adan PRP, the processed platelet-rich plas\u00adma is inject\u00aded direct\u00adly into the ovar\u00adi\u00adan tis\u00adsue under ultra\u00adsound guid\u00adance. This pro\u00adce\u00addure is being inves\u00adti\u00adgat\u00aded par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlar\u00adly in women with reduced ovar\u00adi\u00adan reserve or poor response to hor\u00admon\u00adal stim\u00adu\u00adla\u00adtion (Poor Ovar\u00adi\u00adan Response). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Indi\u00advid\u00adual stud\u00adies report changes in AMH val\u00adues, fol\u00adli\u00adcle devel\u00adop\u00adment, or oocyte yield. How\u00adev\u00ader, whether PRP can actu\u00adal\u00adly influ\u00adence ovar\u00adi\u00adan reserve or increase the prob\u00ada\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adty of live birth is not yet suf\u00adfi\u00adcient\u00adly estab\u00adlished. Par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlar\u00adly for women with pre\u00adma\u00adture ovar\u00adi\u00adan insuf\u00adfi\u00adcien\u00adcy (POI), restora\u00adtion of ovar\u00adi\u00adan func\u00adtion can\u00adnot cur\u00adrent\u00adly be promised.  <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"gb-text\">When PRP Treat\u00adment May Be Appro\u00adpri\u00adate<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gb-text\">PRP is not a rou\u00adtine fer\u00adtil\u00adi\u00adty treat\u00adment. How\u00adev\u00ader, in select\u00aded patients it can be con\u00adsid\u00adered as a com\u00adple\u00admen\u00adtary ther\u00ada\u00adpeu\u00adtic option. Whether treat\u00adment is appro\u00adpri\u00adate depends on the indi\u00advid\u00adual base\u00adline sit\u00adu\u00ada\u00adtion and whether PRP is to be used on the endometri\u00adum or ovaries.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gb-text\"><strong>PRP on the endometri\u00adum may be con\u00adsid\u00adered par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlar\u00adly in cas\u00ades of:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>repeat\u00aded\u00adly thin or inad\u00ade\u00adquate\u00adly devel\u00adoped endometri\u00adum<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>recur\u00adrent implan\u00adta\u00adtion fail\u00adure after IVF or ICSI<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>sig\u00adnif\u00adi\u00adcant changes or dam\u00adage to the endometri\u00adum, for exam\u00adple in Ash\u00ader\u00adman syn\u00addrome<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gb-text\"><strong><strong>PRP on the ovaries may be dis\u00adcussed in select\u00aded cas\u00ades of:<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>reduced ovar\u00adi\u00adan reserve, for exam\u00adple with low AMH val\u00adue<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>poor response to pre\u00advi\u00adous hor\u00admon\u00adal stim\u00adu\u00adla\u00adtion treat\u00adments (Poor Ovar\u00adi\u00adan Response)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>pre\u00adma\u00adture ovar\u00adi\u00adan insuf\u00adfi\u00adcien\u00adcy (POI)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gb-text\">The sci\u00aden\u00adtif\u00adic evi\u00addence dif\u00adfers depend\u00ading on the area of appli\u00adca\u00adtion: For intrauter\u00adine PRP, par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlar\u00adly in cas\u00ades of thin endometri\u00adum, sev\u00ader\u00adal stud\u00adies with pos\u00adi\u00adtive results are now avail\u00adable. For PRP on the ovaries, the clin\u00adi\u00adcal ben\u00ade\u00adfit is less well estab\u00adlished. There\u00adfore, we indi\u00advid\u00adu\u00adal\u00adly assess whether PRP treat\u00adment may be appro\u00adpri\u00adate in your sit\u00adu\u00ada\u00adtion.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"gb-text\">Risks and Lim\u00adi\u00adta\u00adtions of PRP Treat\u00adment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><strong>Tem\u00adpo\u00adrary Dis\u00adcom\u00adfort<\/strong><br><\/strong>After treat\u00adment, mild pain, low\u00ader abdom\u00adi\u00adnal cramp\u00ading, or minor bleed\u00ading may occur tem\u00adporar\u00adi\u00adly. With PRP treat\u00adment of the ovaries, dis\u00adcom\u00adfort may be sim\u00adi\u00adlar to that fol\u00adlow\u00ading fol\u00adli\u00adcle aspi\u00adra\u00adtion. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><strong>Risks of Intrauter\u00adine PRP<\/strong><br><\/strong>The intro\u00adduc\u00adtion of PRP into the uterus is per\u00adformed via a thin catheter and is min\u00adi\u00admal\u00adly inva\u00adsive over\u00adall. Very rarely, heav\u00adier bleed\u00ading or infec\u00adtions may occur. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><strong>Risks of Intrao\u00advar\u00adi\u00adan PRP<\/strong><br><\/strong>Treat\u00adment of the ovaries is per\u00adformed by trans\u00advagi\u00adnal punc\u00adture under ultra\u00adsound guid\u00adance. This car\u00adries risks sim\u00adi\u00adlar to oocyte retrieval, includ\u00ading bleed\u00ading, infec\u00adtions, or injury to adja\u00adcent struc\u00adtures. When per\u00adformed under seda\u00adtion, the asso\u00adci\u00adat\u00aded gen\u00ader\u00adal risks apply.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><strong>No Guar\u00adan\u00adteed Effect<\/strong><br><\/strong>Not every patient ben\u00ade\u00adfits from PRP treat\u00adment. Whether and to what extent endometri\u00adum, ovar\u00adi\u00adan response, or treat\u00adment out\u00adcome will change can\u00adnot be reli\u00adably pre\u00addict\u00aded indi\u00advid\u00adu\u00adal\u00adly. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Still Lim\u00adit\u00aded Sci\u00aden\u00adtif\u00adic Evi\u00addence<\/strong><br>PRP is not yet among the estab\u00adlished stan\u00addard treat\u00adments in repro\u00adduc\u00adtive med\u00adi\u00adcine. For intrauter\u00adine PRP, par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlar\u00adly in cas\u00ades of thin endometri\u00adum, sev\u00ader\u00adal stud\u00adies with pos\u00adi\u00adtive results are now avail\u00adable. For PRP on the ovaries, the evi\u00addence is sig\u00adnif\u00adi\u00adcant\u00adly more lim\u00adit\u00aded. In recent years, sev\u00ader\u00adal ran\u00addom\u00adized stud\u00adies and meta-analy\u00adses have been pub\u00adlished show\u00ading pos\u00adi\u00adtive results par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlar\u00adly for repeat\u00aded\u00adly thin endometrium\u2014both regard\u00ading endome\u00adtri\u00adal devel\u00adop\u00adment and in some cas\u00ades preg\u00adnan\u00adcy and live birth rates. At the same time, the stud\u00adies remain het\u00adero\u00adge\u00adneous, so PRP can\u00adnot cur\u00adrent\u00adly be con\u00adsid\u00adered an estab\u00adlished stan\u00addard ther\u00ada\u00adpy.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We assess PRP treat\u00adment of the ovaries more cau\u00adtious\u00adly. While there are ini\u00adtial inter\u00adest\u00ading stud\u00adies on patients with reduced ovar\u00adi\u00adan reserve or poor response to hor\u00admon\u00adal stim\u00adu\u00adla\u00adtion, whether this can rel\u00ade\u00advant\u00adly improve ovar\u00adi\u00adan func\u00adtion or par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlar\u00adly the chance of live birth is not yet suf\u00adfi\u00adcient\u00adly estab\u00adlished.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For us, PRP is there\u00adfore a pos\u00adsi\u00adble com\u00adple\u00admen\u00adtary treat\u00adment option for care\u00adful\u00adly select\u00aded patients. We dis\u00adcuss trans\u00adpar\u00adent\u00adly what cur\u00adrent stud\u00adies show, where uncer\u00adtain\u00adties remain, and whether treat\u00adment appears med\u00adical\u00adly appro\u00adpri\u00adate in the indi\u00advid\u00adual sit\u00adu\u00ada\u00adtion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"gb-text\">Inte\u00adgrat\u00ading PRP Indi\u00advid\u00adu\u00adal\u00adly into Treat\u00adment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Depend\u00ading on the treat\u00adment goal pur\u00adsued, the tim\u00ading of PRP appli\u00adca\u00adtion dif\u00adfers. Besonders gerne denke ich an die unglaublich sympathische Dr. Antje Mainka zur\\u00fcck, die w\\u00e4hrend einer Vertretung bei der Punktion genau die Eizelle gewinnen konnte, aus der sich heute mein kleines Wunder in meinem Bauch entwickelt. Ebenso herzlich m\\u00f6chte ich Dott. Mag. Sara Comploj erw\\u00e4hnen, die den Transfer durchgef\\u00fchrt hat.  F\\u00fcr mich ist es au\\u00dferdem von unsch\\u00e4tzbarem Wert, dass diese Kinderwunschklinik auch w\\u00e4hrend der Ferienzeiten keine langen Behandlungspausen macht und immer jemand da ist, der sich um die Patientinnen k\\u00fcmmert. Gerade auf einem solchen Weg gibt einem das unglaublich viel Sicherheit.  Auch die lieben Mitarbeiterinnen am Empfang, bei der Blutabnahme und bei den Infusionen m\\u00f6chte ich nicht vergessen. Auf ein L\\u00e4cheln, ein gutes Wort und Unterst\\u00fctzung konnte ich mich immer verlassen. Und das L\\u00e4cheln und die positive Ausstrahlung von Kornelija Gvazdaitien\\u0117 haben mir jede Punktion ein kleines bisschen leichter gemacht.  Auch das Labor, die Embryologinnen und Embryologen sowie das gesamte Team im Hintergrund m\\u00f6chte ich keinesfalls unerw\\u00e4hnt lassen. Jeder Einzelne hier bringt unglaublich viel Herz und Engagement in seine Arbeit ein - und genau das sp\\u00fcrt man als Patientin w\\u00e4hrend der gesamten Behandlung.
